Biography

Reverend Valarine Mackey Seay was born in Miami, Florida to the Bishop Charles I. Mackey and
Reverend Eva Grant Mackey. The ninth of thirteen children, Reverend Seay, whose melodious
voice has won her acclaim nationally as well as internationally, yielded to the call of God on her life
at an early age.

After receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit on June 18, 1981, Reverend Valarine Seay began to
preach and teach the Word of God. Her ministry reached the airwaves in 1981 to 1982 as she sang
and preached to millions during the Healing Ministry in Chattanooga, Tennessee's Good Neighbor's
hourly broadcast.

Known for her healing and deliverance ministry, Reverend Seay has travelled throughout the U.S.A.
ministering to many. It has been said that many received healing during her singing!

A servant of the Lord, Reverend Seay is a mother of two sons, Shauntel and LeNard whom she
loves very dearly and a grandmother to two, Shauntel Irwin and Sharon Denise. She says of her

daughter-in-law Diane; "She's the daughter that I always wanted but didn't give birth to". "I won't trade her for anything! My
son knows that God smiled on him when he married Diane!"

Reverend Seay was given the mandate from God to pastor since 1990. "Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to
build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it." 1Chronicles 28:10 Because her interest was in singing and teaching the
Word of God, Reverend Seay ran from her calling to be a Pastor of the House of God for nine years before becoming a
Licensed and Ordained Minister. Reverend Seay says "I knew that God not only wanted me to build a physical house
(myself) for His sanctuary but I knew that He also wanted me to pastor. He would wake me up at night, giving me scriptures
and designs concerning His house, the offering baskets, the utensils, etc.

I never wanted to pastor because I saw the stress and pain my parents experienced, and I decided early in life that I would
worship with the people but not pastor them because pastoring was too much stress! But it is not what we decide, it's what
the will of God is for our life. I found out that being in His Will, His Perfect Will, is the best and safest and most prosperous
place for us to live."

" I always thought that the House of God was for the people of God. Isaiah 56:7 tells us that the house of God shall be called
a house of prayer for all people. But recently, God gave me the scripture in 1Chronicles 29:1 where David said:...for the
palace (the house of God) is not for man, but for the Lord God." We have taken over the Lord's house with things that
pleases us and not for the things that pleases God. We come to church and tell God He's invited to come in to His own
house. Then, when He enters, we shut Him off and shut Him down. Yet, we think that we are serving the Lord when we are
really doing Him and ourselves a big disfavor!" " It's time out for playing church and it's time in for being the Church. How else
will the world really see the True and Living God if we don't become living sanctuaries?"

Now, through the Grace of God, Reverend Seay is now the Pastor and Founder of the new I AM MINISTRIES True
House of Prayer, here in Miami, Florida.
